"The town of Comporta itself has a couple of cute stores (our favorite being Lavanda), one life-changing restaurant (see below), and there are some great accommodation options nearby as well. (...)  It might only be small, but the town of Comporta has some great little things to explore. For shopping, head to Lavanda for a great range of local and international brands. For a great meal, make Cavalariça your first stop. Relatively-new (it only opened in the summer of 2017), and housed in a former horse stable, Cavalariça is one of Portugal’s best dining experiences thanks to the awesome and internationally-experienced team who hold the reigns here. Run by a young, passionate and professional team—Bruno (chef), Filipa (pastry chef) and Fabio (on drinks)—their menu showcases local and organic produce where possible and is inventive and interesting while simultaneously bringing a laid-back simplicity to the plate. This is the kind of place you will find yourself returning to three-four times during a week-long stay."
